The nutritionist will be responsible for all aspects of the nutrition component within our Early Childhood Programming. Train and oversee kitchen and classroom staff in safe food handling and sanitation procedures including safe handling of breast milk. Provide monthly reports to Health Manager regarding the children with nutritional problems/concerns and interventions being implemented Report to Health Manager any concerns relating to caterer, kitchen staff, and cooking equipment. Attend all staff in-service trainings and or trainings pertinent to your position. Act as a liaison with community food/nutrition agencies including but not limited to; WIC, SNAP-Ed and USDA’s CACFP Assist in completion of self-assessment and PIR annually
Required Qualifications:
General: Degree in nutrition. Ability to work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, prenatal women, and their families Ability to educate staff, parents, children, and prenatal women on nutrition. 9. Interpret for WIC nutritionists and other staff as is needed in approved languages.
10. Maintain check safety and accuracy, according to WIC procedure manual.
11. Maintain WIC office presentation and cleanliness as well as the security and maintenance of participant charts.
12. Maintain a sufficient supply of medical and office supplies.
13. Attend and actively participate in all required trainings and conferences for the WIC program, including Children’s Friend core training program as appropriate.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED required and at least one year of experience in an administrative support position.
• Must be able to collaborate professionally with staff to provide an outstanding level of service to WIC participants and attend to their needs.
• Must possess superb customer service and communication skills.
• Must have an intermediate level of proficiency with computers and in data entry.
• Experience working in a medical environment preferred.
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Nutrition Supervisor, the Nutritionist will provide culturally competent nutrition counseling and support to Children’s Friend programs, including, but not limited to WIC, Head Start, Early Head Start, Head Start, Pre-K, Childcare and Early Head Start Child Care Partnership families within the guidelines specific to each program.
Essential Functions:
1. Provides culturally competent nutrition counseling and support to Children’s Friend’s programs, including, but not limited to WIC, Head Start, Early Head Start, Pre-K, Childcare and Early Head Start Child Care Partnership families within the guidelines specific to each program.
2. Demonstrate effective leadership of Children’s Friend through a commitment to excellence, modeling for others, and building a culture of success. Identify specific opportunities for integration and collaboration throughout the agency and provide leadership to the process.
3. Collaborate across Head Start domains, WIC (internal and external sites), Children’s Friend and community based programs to ensure all clients receive appropriate services through the coordination of care and individualized referrals.
4. Creates, maintains and monitors proper documentation of student allergies and dietary restrictions, including the development of Individual Nutrition Plans.
5. Leads and actively participates in nutrition-related activities such as Active play class, cooking demonstrations, classroom activities and Farmer’s Market activities.
6. Ensures all WIC procedures and documentation standards are met (e.g. certification of all eligible WIC participants according to WIC policies and procedures, eligibility screening, special formula issuance, general food packaging maintenance, anthropometric measurements, etc.).
7. Ensures agency-wide compliance with Food Safety Procedures and menus.
8. Documents services in client charts according to agency and program standards.
9. Serves as a nutritional resource for the agency and the community through consultation and training, including compliance with Food Safety Procedures and menus.
10. Assists in the maintenance of the overall office cleanliness, answering and attending to phone calls, and other general client/office needs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
• Proven ability to interact with members of the community representing diverse backgrounds and interests is required.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and a car to be used for work related tasks.
• The successful candidate will be required to meet our pre-employment background screening requirements.
• Under general supervision from the Nutrition Supervisor.

•Both remote and onsite work required.

Case Manager - Registered Dietitian
Job Summary: Assist members in navigating the health care system, ensuring access to evidenced based care. Educate, empower, and coordinate services for members to improve their health and well being. Facilitate communication between patient, provider, and health plan to ensure members receive the full benefit of integrated care.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Manage members through the healthcare delivery system; assess needs in order to identify appropriate interventions. Work collaboratively with the team and others necessary to develop and implement solutions. Identify barriers to performing job duties as well as opportunities for improvements.
