President Welcome Letter

Dear RIAND members,
The pandemic has been hard on us all. The year ahead will be challenging and unique, and we are optimistic that we can continue our important work through dedicated and talented members like you.
As your incoming President, allow me to first state how proud I am of RIAND’s successes in the last year. Through months of hard work and persistence, RIAND secured the inclusion of RDNs in Rhode Island’s Telemedicine Coverage Act (H6032). Several events were modified for virtual delivery, and we have recreated RIAND’s structure to provide more opportunities for our members to engage meaningfully in our organization.
Through a series of meetings, members of the 2020-2021 RIAND Board embarked upon a “RIAND Reset” to organize our affiliate into four groups or committees:
As this year’s President, I am grateful to be surrounded by hardworking, supportive Board members that have a shared vision for relevance and growth in this ever-changing environment. While we are unable to meet in-person, the RIAND Board will continue to meet virtually once per month. Please visit our website for the virtual meeting information (scroll down on the homepage).
Welcome, and I look forward to your support, participation, and expertise during my time as President.
Stay well,
Megan Fallon-Sheridan, MS RD
