Assistant Professor - Community Nutrition - URI
Job Description: The University of Rhode Island anticipates a full-time academic year, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall, 2012.
Teach undergraduate and graduate classes in the community nutrition area. Establish an independent research program in community nutrition with a focus capable of attracting external funding and leading to publications in refereed journals. Advise undergraduate and graduate students, supervise graduate student research, and serve on committees.
Required qualifications: earned doctorate in nutrition or closely related field, or completion of degree by August 1, 2012; excellent written and verbal English communication skills; and demonstrated ability to develop and sustain an active, independent research program in community nutrition and obtain external funding.
Preferred qualifications: RD or MPH; teaching experience at the college level; and community nutrition experience with youth or adult audiences.
